Managed Miner

To run the mining operation on another computer on the network, the first step is to install Awesome Miner Remote Agent on all computers that will be used for mining.

Follow this guide to setup either a single Managed Miner or multiple Managed Miners using the network scan.

Setup a single Managed Miner

  1. Click New miner... in the main window of Awesome Miner
  2. The wizard welcome page is displayed. Click Next to continue.
  3. Select Managed Miner and click Next
  4. Configure the new miner:
    1. Description: Give the new miner a description (optional)
    2. Miner host: Specify where the miner should be running. Select Local to run on the local computer where Awesome Miner is running. If the host hasn't been added already, click the New button to add it.
    3. Device Profile: For mining with Sgminer, a device profile is recommended. Also available for Claymore miners. (optional)
    4. Click Next to continue
  5. Configure the mining software and algorithm:
    1. Algorithm: Specify the algorithm to use for mining (optional)
    2. Software / Path: Specify the mining software to be used. Based on algorithm, some mining software will be listed in gray to indicate that they do not support the selected algorithm. By default Awesome Miner will automatically download the mining software, but when required, it's also possible to manually download and then specify the path to the software.
    3. Pool: Mining pool to use. For Claymore Ethereum Dual mining, see the guide Ethereum Dual mining.
